One went from 2.8 to 4.8, with no change to his computer. One went from 3.1 to 2.2, again, with no changes to his computer.
Another upgraded his driver, but his score went from 3.7 to 2.8.
The reason you got 3.0 is because it is your CPU's score. Your aero score went from 2 to 4 which is very strange because that score is higher than many with independent GPU and more ram. I believe most here are stuck with 2.0 because that is their aero (and lowest) score.
Somehow your upgraded driver boosted your aero score but can't do the same for others.
