Very good questions, personally I used do commercial photography in Taipei... I had shot Welcome, Sogo, T-parts, Persons, Bigi, TOPPY......ect (dont even know these companies still in business or not.)
Back in the days we worked about 80 hours a week and I did that for about 10 years.. love the pressure!! but during that period of time I had never bring a camera with me while I am on vacation EVER (and you know why)!!
Finally I stopped taking pictures....until 4 years ago a good friend of my encourage me pick up the camera again. Now I learned to pace myself and photography is more enjoyable now(limited myself do 20 weddings a year and filled my rest of the schedules with the commercial).
So I can see things can get old at times but keep it fresh and DO NOT work yourself to death (Like I did). Take a break here and there and sometime you just have to say no to people.
In addition, learn some new tricks (such as experimenting something new such as different lighting? lens?..list can go on) that will always makes you happier (since you're learning). now go shot a pretty girl without showing her face!
Happy shooting!
