1) Place ptool3.zip and GH1__V12.zip inside one folder. 2) Extract both archives and delete zip files. 3) Now you must have two files - ptool3.exe and GH1___121.BIN 4) Run ptool3.exe, open binary firmware file (any error during opening means wrong or damaged file) 5) Save modified firmware to new file. 5) Copy resulted GH1___123.BIN (file name can be different here) to SD card and follow firmware update instructions from Panasonic. 6) Send here results.
Patches description (must be updated):
1) Version change - this must be always checked and is necessary for any firmware upgrade. 2) 30min removal - Get rid of this annoying video length limitation because of European camcorder import taxes. For PAL users. 3) MJPEG 24p - allow to shoot 720p 24fps for more cinematic look (skip frames). 4) VA Bitrate Adjustment, VA Bitrate Adjustment 2 and VA Bitrate Top Limit - must be used together, no more then 24Mbps. Current state is purely experimental 6) VA 59,94->29,97 and PAL version - 720p60 becomes 720p30. 7) AU Audio sampling rate - change recorded sound sample rate, camera will freeze if selected >48KHz, but lower can work. 8) AU Audio encoding bps - encoding rate for compressed audio, 256kbps could be used without major problems.

P.S. As always, no one can quarantee that you camera will work after this :-)
