E5....Ice to see you

這位攝影師把E-5操到一個極緻
不只是下雪而已
根本就冰凍了
攝影師說英國那裏室外夜間溫度降到攝氏零下9度
他把E-5和7-14放在戶外一整夜拍照
隔天早上取相機時仍能正常運作

他的照片也很棒
這是他用E-5在冰島所拍的

接下來不知道會不會有人玩更大的
難道要直接把E-5拿去水下拍攝嗎？

E-5是沒聽過，但之前有聽過有人拿E-3在水中長曝...
但曝多久跟曝完後能否正常運作我就不知囉XD

不過，倒是能確定拿E-3跌到海裡，拿起來用淡水沖一沖吹乾後還是能正常運作。

第二個 link 的確有一些有趣的照片.

but I see it more like another good example of stupidity. I suppose manuals are for people with limited resources and technical freaks, not for you or the person who owns this camera; otherwise you would have understood that it is not designed for being deep frozen. It contains several parts which don't "feel well" of extreme cold, even if it may survive a night or two. In any case, what's the point? The lens is all fogged down, covered with frozen ice, so it is totally useless until it is dry. I would say that such stupid tests are no proof of anything sensible. Even if everything is fine today, you have no idea if the lens or the camera will work next year as well, and if not, you will never know what caused the problem. Not that you care, I suppose...

Don't tell Oly you did this if you want to claim warranty service...

Though you won't enjoy it for long if you threat your camera and lenses that way.

What is next? Underwater images of sharks without protection?

相機要操並不是問題, 只要知道如何事後收拾保養, 就不會輕易故障.

一般而言, 機器如果不受潮, 單單只是溫度很冷, 其實不太會掛的. 不是只有Olympus, 其他相機也一樣. 十幾年前我在紐約, 冬天用Minolta 800si, 拍完後放在院子裡忘了拿進來, 那幾天特別冷, 就只有華氏20度 (約攝氏零下6~7度), 不過沒下雪, 過兩晚才想到拿進來. 那時摸到金屬部份還冰到會刺! 我把電池拿出來重新溫一溫, 相機整個就復活了, 一點事也沒有. 至於該link的攝影者, 他只要把外面覆蓋的冰霜趁還沒整個溶化時趕快擦掉, 當然不會有事的. 事實上, 我也用過不少非O家相機在雪地裡拍, 沾了不少雪的, 只要趁雪溶之前把它擦掉, 相機不會掛的.

不過很奇怪, 不管別家耐不耐操, 似乎就是O家人特別愛操機器, 連國外也一樣. 難怪這個連結的評語跟我上次的意見都一樣, 認為O家機的二手價總是偏低, 其中一大原因應該就是在大家的心理中, 覺得很多都是被惡操過的!

A British Weather

上面是這位攝影師自己的E-5冰凍網頁
它的說明如下：

Olympus E5 extreme cold test - Dec 20th 2010. The extraordinary cold snap is gripping the UK with snow and cold temps unseen in recent years. No better extreme environment to test the camera gear than this. Overnight temps dropped to -9C. Olympus E5 bundled with the 7-14mm was left out all night shooting. I deliberately left the dew shield off in order for it to get cold tested. Camera was still working when I picked it up the next morning. No better test that this. :-)

Olympus的用戶似乎是特別喜歡惡操自家的機器
大概也是因為Olympus自己也愛強調耐候性這點吧？

從 dpreview 上相機的外觀看起來, 鏡頭前也結霜, 那這樣子拍出來的照片是什麼樣子 ?

方式

準備一個大浴缸

放水

把E1放下去水繼續放放到鏡頭一半

按下快門鈕就開始不正常發羊癲瘋一樣

所以

奉勸各位沒事不要把E系列旗艦放到水裡面拍攝

他只有防大雨沒有防水下不要冒這個險

E1還可以救得回來 CCD沒傷到機板要更換我可以說他耐操嗎?
