First. Sorry, I dont' know how to post the pictures ( I know no Picture, no truth ). Also do not know how to type Chinese.
It is a Kit camera some some in my family want me to buy for them. I use my 5D most of time. So please no Pen Fights.
I just pick up my 40D with kit lens yesterday. Took few picutres with the 40D last night. For some reason. I was viewing the picutres I took on the 3" LCD. Where in the Pictures is expose most with lights area was FLASHING WHITE Then BLACK> WHITE Then BLACK>WHITE Then BLACK> and on, and on.....I thought may be too dark at my living room because I was shoting at my most lighted area. I thought it was normal,and went to sleep.
This morning I used it to take some picture of some flowers( Half Pink and half white flowers). Still after take these pictures and viewing on the 3" LCD. These pictures are still Flashing at the end flower pedals(white part) near where expose more light. Flshing White then Black >White then Black......Then I was think I must be that bad luck and got a "Camera King"
of all 40D???I called Rainbow service center around 11:30 AM. A nice service center perosn told me, that is a part of new funtion of the new camera
. She asked did I use differnt function to shot the same picture, I said, I did and they all come out the same.She said those area are over expose and 40D camera's new function is Flshing displying on the 3" LCD letting me know. These Picture is over expose. Then I ask her what if I take a sunset or sunrise then picuters which is over exposed that mean all I see is black on the LCD? Is this ture? She replay again, it will be white and Black on the Camera's 3" LCD, But when viewing on the PC or ouput to a paper pictures will be normal.
Is she bluffing me? Or am I too old for the newly made advance cameras.
I told her that I use my 5D to take the same pic and the LCD do not do that. She strongly reply that newer camera has this funtions. Please could some one tell me, what she told me is ture or not.
Also, Foucs beeping too? Will it keep on beeping after foucus? Because it does when I was taking the flowers picuter today. Try to get a good center fouce on the flower but was windy and flower was moving. after it is foucus then still beeping.
All above are the new 40D experince. I love my 5D. After these incidents happened. May Be when 5DII comes out and may be all have these functions in it too. Then I will not be scared and Shxt in my pants.

problem has been solved.
. Now it is gone. But I will keep trying.

. Shoting flowers again. While pressing shutter button after it is focus. then My hand accidentally move the lens focus ring with the shutter button still pressed then the camera will keep on beeping until you hand move out place. It will refocus again.
