IBM Update Connector
IBM Update Connector (UC) is a software program that downloads data packages, other software programs, and software packages from an IBM server over the Internet without requiring specific user knowledge of where the package is located or whether the package is needed by the customer machine. You only need to start Update Connector on your machine to be connected to the Update Connector database on IBM's Universal Content Server (UCS). Once connected, Update Connector automatically determines whether y our system needs available packages and, if so, it downloads and installs them at your option. Update Connector automatically recognizes machine types and models as well as software versions and other criteria when figuring which packages to download.
