Thinkpad美國訂製筆電的記憶體和中文化問題

小弟目前在美國工作~英文大部分應該都還看得懂
但用的電腦還是台灣帶過去的T40
最近想要在美國網站上訂一台T60

可以確定的是:美國網站訂的T60一定是附英文版XP或Vista
想請問各位大大當初在美國訂小黑後,除了輸入法外(我已經可以盲打注音了...)
對中文的使用者還有無什麼需要調整的地方??

另外~
因為訂製網站上它的原廠記憶體很貴
我想從台灣另外買1G或2G的Ram過去
所以我的記憶體選項是不是只需要訂1 DIMM就對了?
(2 DIMM是指相同容量但是分成兩支記憶體嗎?)

問了一些笨問題
還請大夥幫忙解答一下

去Control Panel --> Regional and Language Options --> Advanced 改成中文 (Chinese, Taiwan)

讀打中文就不會有問題，唯一的缺點是，有些特殊字元會變成亂碼，不過有需要的話，在IE內改成英文的就好了。

輸入法也是在那增加的。

基本上不會有問題，我用了要六年的，沒啥不便。

PS：用習慣英文介面後，中文介面反而覺得很奇怪 orz

I have the T-40, I got it from pcmall at USA. I used to stay at Chicago for 6 years. I would like say buy notebook in USA is cheaper than in Taiwan.
You have to be careful with the IBM model, because different model fits different memories...do some research before you get the memory & go to IBM website to find out the parts number...use these information do some search on online, you will find which brand of memory & model you can use in your future T-60...

2 DIMM: you can have 2 memories. be careful, since IBM was taken over by Lenovo, it became cheaper...and ASS hole...they are cheating on customers, like 1 G memory they offer to you 512MB x 2 = 1G, that took two DIMM, so when you want to upgrade to another memory. you have no empty DIMM that you can put on, only solution you have, is put out the 512 MB you had, and put another 1G..then 512 MB + 1G = 1.5G.....what an A hole..what you can do with 512MB you put out? sell on e-bay for US$40? or give it away?

Cheap baster Lenovo..

對不起, 小弟插進來請問一下,
如果是想要在英文平台(XPP)的NB中灌中文軟體(ex: office中文版 ppstream.....)
需要加裝多國語言介面還是只要做某些設定就好了?

不要講這種不負責任的話，會被人笑話的，也會誤導別人的
2 DIMM: 採用512MB x 2 是因為能組成雙通道記憶體達到更高的效能。
1 DIMM：有升級空間但會浪費主機板的效能。

建議jonathan007
組成雙通道需要相同大小，且是相同頻率（如533，667）的記憶體。
因為IBM的機器為了保持穩定性對設備的要求比較高。不同品牌，甚至同一品牌下不同記憶體顆粒都有可能不相容。所以如果不是很瞭解的話還是直接在網站訂。
