XGA是指螢幕的解析度為1024*768，WWAN是無線配置，后面那個似乎是附在屏框兩側的天線，作用是加強無線訊號的接收
如果您預算有限的話，個人建議您先將BT，WIFI，fingerprinter及8芯電池這類可選配置選好，至于記憶體，硬碟都是可以自己升級，相信也會比直接訂購要便宜許多
webcam當然是自己買比較優，因為可挑選余地較大且價格也會好些

ALL ThinkPad are onsale now. the price is WOW!! good time to buy.
X61 and X61S: S model can choose thinner and lighter screan, and CPU is low voltage model. which means longer battery life. (if that's important to u. the price difference is about $300 USD, cause you have to add the $50 for thinner screan to take full advantage of the power saving. I guess you might not need S model)
SO.... for X61. the price is $1025 USD
i would add:
1. Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T7300 (2.0GHz, 4MB L2, 800MHz FSB) for ONLY $50 USD, it is a gift!!
2. Vista Business for $79 (If you are a student, check your school first, sometimes you can buy Vista business for less than $10 at school bookstore. If not, i would pay $79 to upgrade to Business, Home basic is useless)
3. Ultra Connect Anntena. This is free!! why not.
4. Fingerprint reader $30
5. 120G HD, add $35
6. Bluetooth, add $29
7. upgrade to Intel 4965 AGN wireless card, add $25 ( "N" is the future!!)
8. Upgrade to 8 cell battery, add $50 (4 cell is useless and for decoration only, 8 cell should last about 5 hours or so)
Total cost: $1323.
If your school has cheap Windows, you can save $79 and use it to upgrade ram.

上面兩種服務又是什麼服務呢?
三年前在台灣IBM入手x31有三年全球保固，在這邊有一些不一樣的選擇，
有點搞混，所以希望先輩可以指點迷津．

You will need to pay monthly internet fee to use mobile broadband internet (the same as internet on the phone) Don't confused it with Wi-Fi.
i don't know if it will be cheaper to buy in Taiwan. However, when i see the price in USA Leveno website, i think the price is quite reasonable, AND you can make configuration to what you want. If you are choosing Ultralite version, i think you will have a hard time find the one you want in Taiwan.
for example:
1. Most IBM DOESN"T come with Intel 4965AGN wireless chipset. (i think it is rather important. as you need Intel chipset to get "Centrino" and it is the ONLY Centrino with "N". From my personal experience, Intel chip use less power comparing to Athero chipset.)
Turbo Memory is a new feature in Vista. Windows will use the memory to speed up your computer. It works well when you need to read/write a lot of small files, so your hard drive don't need to access those files all the time. (Flash memory can access small files faster than HD)
From early test, turbo memory only has like 3-5% performance gain. is 3-5% worth $50 to u? I don't know. If you are tight on budget, $50 is enough to buy 1G RAM.
system warranty is regular warranty. the warranty we think it is.
Protection is more like insurance. they cover "human error" too. For example, if you drop your computer from 3 stories building. IBM will try to fix it or replace with a "usable" unit.
