I just got my X41 Tablet, so far the most serious problem is "clicking noise", a problem I never noticed before reciving my laptop.
It is really noisy. And for me, the problem is a much more serious than low-performance.

Do the X41T sold in Taiwan have no cache problem? The clicking noise of my X41 Tablet is too noisy to ignore. I never thought that I need to learn so much HD knowledge because of X41T.

是這樣的
我收到X41的時後開機後發現
天呀
怎麼那麼多預載程式吃掉我大概370M-380M的記憶體
於是
我備份回復光碟後就把系統全殺了連分割區都殺
殺了後
拿出MSDN中的XP Tablet開始安裝
裝完後
並沒有發現有"click noise"
再來就開始裝各個Device的驅動程式
但系統的網路通訊出現了問題,無法像用回復光碟做出來的一般正常
試了一天還不行
於是又換回來原廠回復光碟
但回復回來後"click moise"又出現了
所以想說等專案告一段落後再來試這個問題
以上的經驗供各位參考
PS:XP Tablet剛安裝完就會吃掉近160M的記憶體,
普通XP大概70M-80M左右

Reinstalling the OS, however, will not fix the following known problems with the X41T:
* The hard drive "Clicking" problem where the hard drive makes an obnoxious noise every time it parks its head. We're stuck with this incredibly annoying clicking sound until another manufacturer makes a 1.8" hard drive that will fit in the X41T (Seagate, where are you? I love my 2.5" Seagate 7200 rpm notebook drive; it's completely silent even while parking the head, but it won't fit in the X41T).
我很surprise 這裡沒相關討論，台灣的消費者會不會太好養了。
我打算Call IBM要求換一個新的HD，試試也好。
