請教各位大大:
小弟昨天剛敗入了一台ProBook 4411S, 它的無線網卡是Intel WiFi link 5100.
有支援到802.11 N draft.
但是昨天依照指示安裝完整個系統, 它卻只以802.11G連上AP,
小弟的AP是用DrayTek居易 Vigor2110n,
同時enableAP的 B/G/N連線,
但是4411S就是不肯上到N?
小弟打開Intel WiFi link 5100 driver的進階選項有看到802.11N一項是"採用預設值", 不確定是不是預設啟用802.11N, 硬是把它設成"啟用", 再重新reset網卡, 還是一樣用802.11G去連, Driver的那一欄再打開居然又是回到預設值.
請問不知道有沒有人有試過其他802.11N的AP是可以跟4411S用N相連的?
還是小弟哪裡弄錯了?

終於找到原因:
"The IEEE* 802.11n Draft prohibits using High Throughput with WEP or TKIP as the unicast cipher. If you use these encryption methods (e.g. WEP, WPA-TKIP), your data rate will drop to 54 Mbps. The Intel® WiMAX/WiFi Link 5350, Intel® WiMAX/WiFi Link 5150, Intel® WiFi Link 5300, Intel® WiFi Link 5100, Intel® WiFi Link 1000 and Intel® Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN client drivers connect using a legacy IEEE 802.11g connection rather than failing to connect altogether, which complies with the IEEE 802.11n draft."
改成WPA2-AES後, 速度終於可以拉上144 mbps. 不過跟300 mbps的極速相比, 還差一大截.
