Well I have been reading about putting Windows XP on all weekend and how hard it was from usb, so I thought I would show you the easy way, using Windows Fundamentals and lets face it its the better choice.
Here goes.
What you need:-
PeToUSB
Copy of Windows XP Fundamentals
USB Pen drive 1gb
1: Put your Fundamentals disc in your drive.
2: Insert your pendrive.
3: Load PeToUSB
4: Configure it with your sources and destination like this

5: Click start
6: Once its finished insert it into your EEE PC and set the bios to boot from the pendrive.
7: And watch it install!
Why no changes to system files you ask? Because it uses a Vista style installer.

==> 如同其他網友所說的, 將xp裝到其他電腦, 其實是OK的; 但是拿回eeePC用又不可以
==> 證明這個方法是OK的, 只是有什麼地方"不相容"
原因坦白說我也不知道, 因為試了10天, 有太多地方不被改變
1. BIOS 被改變
2. 有人說 BIOS 要 enable 全部的裝置
3. 有人提到, 同一片光碟換了一台cdrom又Ok
4. 有人提到, xp 版本的問題
我覺得, 都有可能, 建議:
1. bios 回到0204
2. enble bios all devices
3. 先找到一片確定可以安裝到ssd的 XP + CDROM + 線 , 確定OK
4. 除了cdrom, 不要接其他usb
5. 再去弄 http://www.ngine.de/index.jsp?pageid=4176 ( ngine 建議用sp1)
千萬不要先去弄 ngine , 無法成功時, 完全分不出原因
結論:
1. 裝到 usb 卡 很慢
2. 裝到 hdd 差不到要1分半吧
