今天幫朋友eee pc 裝 xp
也出現了音效裝不起來.....
後來就到asus的網站，找eee pc 的驅動，下載xp用的...
eee pc xp driver link~
結果裝好重開機就好了...（某些東西要手動）
不了解電腦的...可能會在這一段卡住吧.....
那麼本人在安裝好後，又到 控製台...系統...裝置管理員....
發現了一個問題... audio 出現了驚探號！！！！ 於是我就把它給（解除安裝、非軟體、是硬體）
之後在重新搜尋裝置，就會找到它了....但會出現...找不到某個檔案...
解決問題...把來源指向 (Audio_XP_071011\Audio\driver\wdm)這就解決了...
裝好後...會出現更多的問號裝置..... 在給他搜尋硬體...解決了！！！！
之前裝 桌上型的... nb 的...都有類似此問題....
有的重安裝就好了....
今天因為在公司拆光碟機來用...在家沒有，只好重網路上抓...沒想到就好了！！！
外接光碟一直有問題，花了一天後，改用很像拼裝的 IDE to USB 線 + 內建式的IDE光碟機，
終於可以順利備份linux，才試著裝XP.
XP的音效驅動果然有點困難，找到以下兩篇文章幫助很大 (但也搞了很久才完成.. 哈)

1.請先確認您的作業系統是否已包含WinXP SP1或SP2?
請在我的電腦按右鍵→內容→一般→系統，可確認。(如圖一；若沒有安裝 SP1或SP2請開啟IE網頁內的『工具』選擇裡面的【Windows Update】至微軟網站更新)。
2.確認裝置管理員內的系統裝置底下有無 “Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio”？
您可以從我的電腦按右鍵→內容→硬體→裝置管理員→系統裝置底下查看。
(若沒有此裝置，請進光碟片內的檔案總管→Audio→MSHDQFE→Win2K_XP→US→執行kb888111xpsp1.exe(使用SP1)或kb888111xpsp2.exe(使用SP2))
3. 若 “Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio” 已正常驅動，在音效，視訊及遊戲控制器底下應該會有一個Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus 或無法辨識的裝置。請將此裝置【停用】。(如圖二；若無Audio Device on High Definition Audio Bus 或無法辨識的裝置在裡面可直接跳過此步驟)
4.接著再將系統裝置底下的Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio 【停用】。(如圖三)
5.將Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio【解除安裝】。(如圖四)
6.做好上述動作後，請在裝置管理員畫面『檢視』的下方按下【硬體變更掃描】的圖示。(如圖五)
7.此時會出現新增硬體精靈，請注意勿按下下一步，只需按下『取消』，再進驅動程式光碟片或是網站上下載下來的音效驅動內執行Setup.exe即可完整安裝音效驅動程式。
(光碟片路徑：Audio→Realtek→Setup.exe)

after some teeth pulling I might've figured out our problem puppy:
1) uninstall all previously installed realtek sound drivers
2) control panel>system>device manager>Sound, video and game controllers
- once there, disable the unknown device
3) control panel>system>System devices
- find Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio
- disable it first
- then uninstall
4) restart the computer
5) upon start-up, press CANCEL when prompted to install ANY new hardware
6) install realtek drivers, follow instructions then restart
7) upon start-up you should now see the glorious volume icon on the taskbar
8) install the Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High Definition Audio when prompted, the recommended way
voila, hopes this solves your problem and anyone else who runs into it!
