8月買的3810TG剛好趕上了召回計畫
打了電話到台灣acer,他們要我和美國連絡
打了電話到美國acer,他們要我和台灣連絡
米國的service說找不到我的snid
所以沒辦法幫我服務
怎麼acer的snid不是全球連線的嗎?

聽說acer的客服很陽春...只好明天再打給台灣試試
開始後悔在台灣買了...

I have the same problem as you. I bought Acer Travelmate 3002 while I was in Taiwan for a business trip. It crashed about a month ago when I download a stupid Intel chipsets driver from Acecr website. I called Acer US ... not get through because the serial number is not in their US/Canada database. I emailed Acer US ... all the email I got is: Please go find a valid S/N. they only support US/Canada purchase. I went to on-line Acer official chatting room, ... same response. this time, the supervisor told me to ship the laptop back to Taiwan to boot. stupid!! stupid!!. I never see such bad customer service around the world. Recall that my Sony flash drive I bought in US was broken when I was in Taiwan. Taiwan Sony replace the whole drive with no charge. they could not locate the product warranty etc, so, Sony gave me a new drive. I am willing to pay for the cost of restoring my hard drive. but, this stupid Acer US just told me - "they don't care, they only service US products because they are Acer US." I was so mad and frustrated. I wrote my complaints in a letter to Acer CEO - look like an Italian guy. I will let you know if I get any response. can you also let me know if your decision to send it back to Taiwan. I live in bay area, California.

I'm stuck here with a the travelmate does not boot. I sent it to a local repairing store. they told me that they cannot fix it because acer's bios or partition table. now the pqservice - the hidden drive is gone. alt + F10 is gone. the recovery CD hanged at the last step, after I put in system CD, copied ghost file CD (disk 1 of 2, disk 2 of 2), then back to system CD. it copied all the files. then reboot, window xp logo showed up, then hang. I have been search the web for months to find a solution without shipping it back to Taiwan for restoring. the shipping cost can buy a new acer netbook. Acer aspire netbook is only $200 here under promotion. anyhow, anyone has an idea to bring back this dead machine? I read some threads, like Post Acer Disk Formatter CD ISO Image, NAPP CD, mbrwrwin, how to make it work?? anyone has the original disk image that can help me? please kindly upload it to torrent or emule? Acer charge $NT 800 to restore the system. I'm willing to pay for the amount if anyone can help me get this machine work again. 2nd. If you already have Recovery CD, you should be able to restore it by using it, you can try to take out your harddrive and put it into an external enclosure, use another computer to delete the partition on the HDD and put it back into your system that way the system disk should be clean and you should have no problem at all. You should just start your notebook by booting from CD, and follow on screen instruction to restore the system from your Recover CDs. COPY system CD into HDD won't do anything good.

我記得 acer 以前的國際保固是國際旅約保固, 停留超過一段時間的機器好像不在保固範圍內.
不知道後來有沒有修改.

看來保固問題讓大家都一肚子火,所以下次在買這種要帶著跑的商品真的要特別注意一下國際保固的問題,
不然工作忙不完就很火了,筆電還不能用................

希望各位大大問題都可以得到解決.

你的資訊有誤，

宏碁針對在台灣賣的筆記型電腦只提供境外旅約一年的保固，

旅約代表出入境時間不得超過3個月，

樓主筆電在台灣買的，適用相同合約，

Acer U.S. 會把樓主的機器退回來也不是特例，

之前就有一個網友到歐洲發生過類似的情形。

宏碁賣的比較便宜不是沒有原因的。

保固的問題總在消費者遇到的時候才會顯現囉

想我當初也是覺得全球保固跟國際保固阿不是都一樣

等到自己的朋友買國際保固機種卻壞在沒有出產該機種的國家

才深深的體會到保固多重要

Acer銷量用低價策略是到了世界品牌的地位, 但是維修和品質的氣度看來還有段不小的距離, 沒有追上來的話, 通常就是兵拜如山倒的開始......
