Dear all,
There is no Chinese-typing system in this PC... sorry...
I bought a TOMTOM ONE for my temporary stay in USA last year.
I will finish my work here and go back to Taiwan this July, and can I continue to use it in Taiwan by changing to Taiwan map data?
If I can change the data, how to do it?
Thanks a lot!

NO: you won't be able to download the special Chinese navcore update from the TomTom (.tw) server because of the reason stated earlier.
YES: If you could find someone who is willing go give you a backup of his/her own. However, you still need to deal with the activation of the Taiwanese map.

I am using a TomTom One V2 which I bought in the US in 2006 and now I am using it in Taiwan with either Navcore 7.154&TW Map 755.12 or Navcore 8.024&TW Map 758.16 because I love the compass function in V7.154. The only thing I need to do is to change my SD card.
For legality problem, I cannot tell you how to do it here. But I can tell you with confidence that you don't have to buy a new one when you back to Taiwan. Also, you can install several maps with the Special Chinese Version together depends on the capacity of your SD memory card. When you travel to the other countries, the only thing you needa do is to switch the language and map.
Finally, if you don't wanna spend too much time and your economic situation is ok. Buying a new TomTom GPS in Taiwan with legal Chinese application and Maps will be good to you. Also, it will promote the economy of Taiwan as everyone's wish.
