I think it's not the problem of EVO 9..

You may extract from the compressed file to desktop of your computer and transfer the files to your device via either USB or storage card reader.

And when I tried to remove the HTC home, a message box popped up saying not able to remove.

Generally speaking, you can extract the compressed files directly with your ppc unless it's been removed intentionally or, something is wrong there...^^"

Note: Both winzip (above) and PocketRAR (below) "CAN" auto-extract compressed files without a problem if the settings are set correctly...

安裝了PocketRAR之後，請先手動執行PocketRAR(程式集裡面)，勾選檔案關聯(兩個都勾)，按OK，接著就能自動開啟壓縮檔了(如圖) 註：右邊那張圖就是下載後"自動"解壓縮的畫面

對了，試完之後，能不能用請再回報一下，助已助人囉^^

Not only happens in your device but all devices including our desktops. Why?
Because there are A LOT of different types of compressed files, and of course not all of the files can be extracted by 1 or 2 compressing applications like PocketRAR or WinZip....
However, files shared at 01 are almost all written in zip format with which both PocketRAR and WinZip can handle without a hitch....^^"

Of course it didn't come up.... HTCHome is NOT incorporated in EVO9beta... The "loose ends" I mentioned earlier are the registy values showing the two options on the page of home-setting, that is, you can delete them from the page of Home-plugin-setting by modifying the given values becaue both of the two applications are NOT existing in EVO9beta....

I don't really understand it.... do you mean that there are still HTCHome and other non-existant applications in the list on the remove program page????? If it is this case, you can call it a bug then...@_@

1) I re-install 柚子's EVO HTCUIHome

2) Then,I can uninstall the old HTC home successfully..!!

BTW, I hope 柚子 can make a complete version of EVO9...
