說來話長， 由於小弟住在英國， 看上P535 驚為天人 ， 經過一番努力， 終於把P535 敗到手啦！
可惜內附的TOMTOM 台彎圖資我用不到， 經由TOMTOM HOME 敗了 一個完整的西歐地圖， 花了我99.99 歐元（這可是四千多台幣吶）！ 裝進機器裡， 成功啦，哈哈哈....... 之後發現， 有個很重要的功能，竟然沒看見 ＝＝>> 怎麼可能 6.0 版的TOMTOM 沒有完整的郵遞區號定位？ 小弟之前用的TOMTOM3.0 TOMTOM 5.0 都有完整的郵遞區號定位， 沒有理由6.0版的沒有， 故小弟猜， 這是由於TOMTOM主引擎是中文版的緣故， 可能中文版的這個功能比較沒需要而被拿掉了， 所以又把機子還原， MINI SD 重新格式化， 一切重裝一次！ 但是這次裝的是 TOMTOM HOME裡所自動更新的英文版 主引擎（11 MB）， 花了我好久的時間， 此時， 奇怪的事情發生了， TOMTOM需要ACTIVATE 圖資...... 但是最神奇的事........ 就是＜ 小弟的Ｐ535 Device Code 竟然會改變？ 這個意思好像是說， 網卡的MAC ADDRESS 會改變？ 怪怪怪怪呀！ 有沒有高手大大能夠幫小弟解惑？

其實我看到英文版的TOMTOM 在英國， 由於英國的郵遞區號系統十分有效率， 比方說，你家的郵遞區號跟20公尺旁的鄰居的郵遞區號就不一樣啦！ 所以英國和荷蘭的TOMTOM 地圖裡， 郵遞區號就變成找地點的最佳指標！ 但是我看台彎TOMTOM 所附的 V6.200 版本的程式執行出來之後卻沒有支援郵遞區號搜尋， 導致小弟花大錢買的全歐洲地圖也不能執行此功能，不知道有沒有解決的方案！
小弟現在的P535 TOMTOM的DEVICE CODE 又回復原狀了（經過我回復原廠設定，用讀卡機格式化MINISD 花了我四小時之後，還好DEVICE CODE 又跟從前一樣啦！）...... 怪怪怪！
我沒有懷疑你的觀點啦， 但是你是否知道， TOMTOM 在英國和荷蘭地圖裡， 有特別支援 完整的7個碼的POSTCODE 的搜尋呢？
如果你要完整支援這兩個國家的郵遞區號的搜尋， 你必須要有郵遞區號的DATABASE 放在記憶卡目錄下的ZIP 子目錄裡！ 我也都放了， 但是中文版的TOMTOM 偏偏就真的少了個選項！ 我放幾張照片給你， 你就知道我在說啥了， 我也試過 你講的方法，但是真的沒有我所說的7 DIGITAL search! 這種精確的POSTCODE ， 可以把地圖的位置定義到很細， 比方說， 我家距離你家可能就20公尺， 但是， 郵遞區號就不一樣了， 這也導致了如果你寫信到英國或荷蘭，沒寫郵遞區號，東西根本不會到， 如果你寫郵遞區號，和門牌號碼，不寫路名， 信件照常送到你手上。
大大你形容的行政區， 大約是定義到POSTCODE 前三碼， 而並沒有後面的四碼喔！

我也寫信到台彎TOMTOM 還有英國TOMTOM了， 英國TOMTOM 根本不知道ASUS P535 直接跟我說， ASUS P535 不在支援的機子裡.......？？？？？？？
經我一番解釋， 他們回答， 他們目前不知道原因， 真慘！

I purchased ASUS P535 which is the latest PDA Phone integrating with GPS receiver from Taiwan(Device ID: XXXXX XXXXX). TomTom is pretty new to Taiwan navigation market and TomTom with Taiwan map is bundle software comes with the PDA Phone. However, my main usage is in the UK. Hence, I purchased a full Western Europe map (product code: XXXXX XXXXX XXXXX) through TomTom Home online. After I installed Western Europe map on device, I found there is a critical function which is full postcode search is missing. Then I format the MINI SD card and cold restart my Asus P535 in order to reinstall the whole software. After all the reinstall hassle done, there is a weird problem happened.
I got two questions:
1. How can I do with the strange issue?
2. I usually travel between UK, Taiwan and Europe. I saw my friends’ TOMTOM Navigator 6 all have full postcode search ability. However my TOMTOM can not search with full postcode. I think it is because the TomTom application for Windows Mobile 5 pocketPC (ver 6.200) which comes from the original CD is based on Chinese Version. How can I sort the problem out? Can you send me or allow me to download another version of the application? (I know I need to put the zip folder into a popper position and I have done this).

The ASUS P535 as far as we know is not compatible with the Tom Tom software
as it is not on our site so we are not aware or able to helpo with any of these problems
Is your device perhaps called something else we are not aware of?
If so please say.
I must say however the problem you have is usually with a non compatible product as we have seen and herad this in the past

My phone always shows roaming service icon on the top.
Also my tomtom won't find the usa map, if I change my Regional setting to usa in System.
I have to keep Regional setting in Taiwan right now. Is your phone doing same thing?

I have contacted with TOMTOM customer services UK and Taiwan and found that the detailed postcode searching function has been blocked by TOMTOM TAIWAN. However they told me they will enable the function around middle of Feb by release latest version of application and TAIWAN Map.
台彎的TOMTOM 跟我說， 用台彎版本的主程式， 可以抓到國外地圖， 但是，不知道為什麼，我的機子真的抓不到， 經過我連續三天十次重裝系統， 你可能需要更改記憶卡的名稱， P535 的記憶卡名稱叫做 "MINI SD 卡" 問題就出在那個 中文字元"卡"， 你需要用更改PDA REGISTRY 的軟體， 把MINI SD 卡，改成 全英文 e.g. storage card. 之後再重新把TOMTOM 灌進去才行喔！ 要不然， 我之前的狀況是會顯示 "Map not found".
如果你的問題是我上面所陳述的， 而需要更改機碼的路徑， 記得跟我要喔！ 其實台彎TOMTOM 的服務是好的， 跟英國TOMTOM 一天到晚踢皮球好多了！ 如果大家想看看我跟英國TOMTOM 的 來回十封EMAIL （還沒把事情解決） 我也可以跟大家分享喔！
TOMTOM 是好軟體， 我都用三年多了， 此時中文化是陣痛期， 希望蛻變之後的TOMTOM能帶給大家方便！

I understand your question. 我意思 after you choose "street and house number" function, you 可不可以直接輸入 your post code? That's the way I am doing my TOMTOM in my USA map.

我現在沒辦法給你這方面的答案，因為我已經把記憶卡REGISTRY 中的名稱改成全英文！ 我之前有發現相似的問題， 但是那時候的狀況是， 我灌原版TOMTOM（中文版）的AP， 找不到西歐地圖， 但是在網路的XX版， 倒是一切運作正常！ PS..... 我還是附了全額的錢給TOMTOM買圖資歐。

當你輸入完street and house number， 你還需要輸入郵遞區號嗎？
我之前的帖子有放一張POSTCODE SEARCH FUNCTION， 你去看一下， 這個功能只有荷蘭和英國地圖有！ 你只要輸入POSTCODE ， 系統頂多在問你門牌號碼， 就可以定位啦！ 不需要街道名，更不需要城市名喔！
