anyway, my parents recently got a new car (July 1st) here are few cars we went through.
MB S350: too expensive. the current S-class is well over NT400W. It is a great car, just too expensive. If money is not a factor, this is the car we might choose.
MB E350: nice car. enough power. however, the interior quality is not that good. a lot of cheap looking plastic. back seat is not big. (another most important thing is... this generation of E-Class seems have a lot of problems!)
BMW 730I: this is great car inside and out. I like this car the most. this is one of the 2 final list in our mind.
BMW 530I, 535I: both great car, If you don't care about the back seat, these are great choice. I would think these are the best choice if you usually the driver and only carry 1 person. (the back seat is just night and day difference between 5 and 7 series)
Lexus LS460: great car. very quiet. a lot of gadgets to play with. this is another final list in our mind.
A6, A8: both are great car. however, the design are sooooo dated. they even have old-style "lift" door handle!
so.. it's the choice between 730I and LS460. both are similar priced. (actually 730 is a little cheaper) after played with both. my parents got LS460 simply because it has factory Navigation system!!!
I think BMW need to work harder in Taiwan's market. without factory Navigation system, it's harder and harder to sell, especially in the upper laxuary market.
