MAN是德國一家專門製作卡車的公司,該公司也是BMW的子公司喔
不好意思大大能不能解釋一下淵源呢，因為小弟看到Volkswagen的subsidiaries有MAN AG跟Scania AB二家公司
而BMW的subsidiaries則是mini與Rolls-Royce

Volkswagen AG has a 29.9% stake in German truck manufacturer MAN AG, who recently in 2006 launched a takeover bid for the Swedish truck maker Scania, in which Volkswagen AG held, at the time, 20.3% of company and 35.31% of the voting stock. Volkswagen AG had announced that it would like to see MAN and Scania merge, together along with Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles Truck and Bus operations, and form a new company in which Volkswagen AG has a blocking minority stake. However later press released stated that such a merger was not a priority, and Scania would continue to be run as a separate entity. A merged MAN-Scania would become the largest European Truck maker, leapfrogging both Volvo AB and DaimlerChrysler AG. However, DaimlerChrysler will still be the largest worldwide truck maker, as it has operations in the U.S., where MAN and Scania currently do not.

Volkswagen Group, Scania's largest shareholder, acquired a stake of 20% of MAN, and has since raised that stake to 29%. VW has a majority stake in Scania, owning over 51% of the company. It was widely expected that the two truck manufacturers would be combined, and that a combined MAN-Scania would also absorb Volkswagen's Brazilian heavy truck operations. A more recent interview with VW CEO Martin Winterkorn stated that VW has no immediate plans to attempt to merge Scania and MAN, but he would also not rule out a MAN takeover of VW's Brazilian heavy truck.[8] It was also originally speculated that Volkswagen intended to acquire MAN Truck and Bus division by the end of 2008.[9] This has not been officially confirmed and there has been no current action by VW in attempting to acquire MAN shares, or to buy the company's commercial vehicle division.
In 2008, MAN celebrates the 250th anniversary of the company, with a gala event in Munich, exhibitions in the Deutsches Museum in Munich, the corporate museum in Augsburg, and the Rheinisches Industriemuseum in Oberhausen. One highlight should be an "Oldtimer Truck Convoy" on a historical route from Munich over Augsburg to Nuremberg in June.
