The best-selling SUV in Europe in 2021 was the Peugeot 2008. The French manufacturer’s model was sold in 173,890 units, an increase of 28% over the same period last year.
In second place is the Volkswagen T-Roc, with 169,189 units sold, up 21% from 2020. The podium is completed by a Renault Captur SUV. Approximately 144,304 units were sold in 2021, down 9% from 2020.
According to economica.net, the Hyundai Tucson SUV had a rapid growth. The South Korean manufacturer has sold 136,490 units in 2021, 70% more than in 2020.
The top five is completed by Duster, the class B SUV of the manufacturer from Mioveni Dacia. The Dacia Duster was bought by 129,196 Europeans, 3% more than in 2020.
The top ten is completed by: Peugeot 3008 (126,167 units), Volkswagen Tiguan (122,910 units), Ford Puma, a model produced in Romania (121,349 units), Volkswagen T-Cross (117,928 units) and Volvo XC40 (106,800 units) units).
