I don't think human beings should go back in time to adapt a pre-historic life style. I can't see that's a majority trend.
I believe human beings can make changes to the world, like wind/solar/nuclear/tidal, electric car, electric bicycle, better public transportations.
Reducing our human footprint? C'mon, What's life without freedom to travel around?

Well, taiwan is for OEM, brand name companies give the design, etc.
But don't forget,.. the famous brand name companies spell a lot of $$ for marketing, advertisement,... they can do global scale of marketing....
I think taiwan has the ability to make famous brand, look at Acer, Asus, etc.
But then, the product design still takes time...
afterall, goodwill can't build in a single day.
