Leica M (Type 240)試拍用後感

Please allow me to share some of my comments, as a new owner of a M240

1. M240 is a rangefinder. Period. If you don't like optical focus method, you should not even touch it.
2. M240 framing line can be changed between red and white - so please don't make a big deal on this silly subject. You are embarassing yourself.
3. I switched from XE2 to Leica - please don't ask me why. XE2 digital split screen was the reason I sold my Xpro1 to Xe2. This feature is great but it seems to work better if you use the maximum aperture of your lense. Else, you can't see much - not too surprise as its working principle relys on amount of light falling onto the sensor. What happen was I often have to turn the aperture to max, get a sharp focus and then turn the aperture to my original planned value. Well, takes time and I am not too comfortable of possible focus shifting issue with certain lens.

Overall, though I am not a owner of M9, I think M240 has decent JPEC, very sensitive center metering system (I am trying to learn more), LV is good but once I press the shuttle, you feel the vibration which is shocking!, and overall, keep most of the spirit of M intact.
Granted, I am not too qualified to comment too much, but again, if you are a EVF lover, you should never even bother to touch M240. Even with external EVF on it, M240 EVF performance will disappoint you.

Leica is good but not for everyone. This has nothing to do with how much money you have to willing to spend. It is about a certain way of enjoying photography which may be disturbing to many but hugely enjoyable to some.

Totally agree with you!!

這真是難以理性分析的一件事
