Well... To my experiences the CF vibration for the tone has no way to surpass the tone that wood can do, not even when you compares it with Brazilian wood. The sound itself has the weird crisp feel (metal?) and especially audible, by the player, when playing the legato. The CF is just too strong to be able to make a good tone out of it.
But indeed a good CF bow handle well, can play all the stroke easier than a bad wood bow. If you do have problem with the bow arm, it may be easier for you to make all sort of stroke in an ok sound. However, if you already make a great sound out of your instrument, CF bow will just kill the tone.
