這個是我第一次發言, 希望大家會喜歡我的新玩具. 國小畢業後來到加州也已經十四年了. 加州的天氣很適合戶外活動. 大學的時候跟朋友去滑雪就愛上了那個快感. 可惜在南加州雪季並不會太久. 所以從那個時候就開始找雪溶了以後的替代品. 一開始我買了一塊滑板, 可是感覺就是不一樣. 結果買了 freebord , 一個可以模擬在雪上滑的特製滑板. 老實說, 感覺真的很像可是太難學了. 聽說後來一代的有改很多東西變得比較好學了, 可是不便宜. 今年的雪季結束前, 我跑去學衝浪了. 我只能說會衝浪了人真的太利害了, 那個東西沒有天天練真的要一段時間才能學會. 所以我又想再一次把 freebord 學起來, 在網上找同好的時候發現了今天的主角. 這個東西好像是用跟蛇板一樣原理的推進方式, 可是發明的人把板子切成兩塊. 而且他把輪子設計成一排在腳下. 這樣的設計讓轉彎的多了一個傾斜的動作. 這個傾斜的動作跟滑雪還有衝浪時的東作幾乎是一樣的. 在看了他們的影片後, 我就敗下去了. 那個時候東西沒貨, 要等 30-45 天. 一個月後的今天, 東西終於到了. 試了一下午發現他有他的難度, 可是因為東西不大很好攜帶. 所以我練習的機會應該會比 freebord 多, 也應該比較快能學會. 下面是一個 freebord 跟一個 freeline skates 的影片跟官網還有我的 skates.
Freebording
I thought Freeboard was pretty much the bitchest thing I had tried, but the Freeline Skates are nastier. I'm sure the those who are not satisfied with the current X-Sport gears will be happy to give those a shot.
Wish you master these things, and possibly show your moves when you are back in TW.

I am all about these hybrid boards, just seem to offer more than just that much more to conventional skateboards. However, I am looking for some longboard at the moment just for cruzing down the beach. It's summer time in LA, can't do w/o the beaches. I've also got my eyes set on some of those T-boards, supposely they are quite a lot of fun too. I haven't master the freebord yet, it's been collecting dust for the past 4-5 years. I'll jump on it again when I get some cash for some new wheels and bearings.
True, what's the point living in LA without being at the beaches. My last job in LA involves a lot of surfing and wakeboarding. Hope you find a good surfboard you like, or maybe try some shops around Venus, Redondo, or Hermosa Beach.
By the way, wondering if you also ride motorcycles.....
