Help: do I need Amp, or Amp+DAC for iPhone with 535red?

I have a iPhone 4s using Shure 535 red edition. If I want better SQ, do I need just an Amp like a iBasso T5, or Amp+DAC like D-zero? I am new so any help welcome.

Why not buy another source.....

you accept adding a bundle of trouble to your phone but why don't you get a high quality player such as Cowon J3, Hifiman 801, Colorfly C4...etc

if you still want to keep ip4s as source
then you dont need dac
cause too many waste money
i think a good quality amp will be better to slove this problem
(also you can try diffirent line to deal this
but it may not do lot change)

Thx for suggesting the HP-P1. But I need something much more portable. Any other suggestions, like as small as D-zero or even T5?

It includes headphone amp, DAC and a battery
and it is MADE IN JAPAN!!!
Why not give a try?
