T-Mobile好還是Cingular???

小弟要去德州唸書.....不知道這兩家GSM的電信公司比較好....因為小弟要帶WX-T91跟W900i去想說換sim卡就好了....而且小弟不喜歡CDMA(純粹是個人偏見><)...能不能請哪位大哥幫小弟
說明一下.....感激不盡....

請問一下目前這兩家已經有3G了嗎?我看cingular網頁上有UMTS.....不知道是不是跟台灣3G一樣的有影像電話與線上電視等等.....

如果你是拿WZ-T91或是W900i
建議你辦T-Mobile(雖然Cingular收訊較好)
因為Cingular是GSM 850/1900
如果你所在的地區只有GSM 850
那再好的WX-T91和W900i也真的只能聽MP3和拍拍照了.....
T-Mobile則是GSM 1900(目前已開始興建GSM 850的基地台)

此外朋友說Cingular的3G是CDMA
並非一般GSM的3G手機可以使用

NO!
Cingular employs a WCDMA system also!
BUT! It is using WCDMA 1900, while those handsets you mentioned using WCDMA 2100

Also, Cingular's UMTS system is only for data.

after all, the 3G function in United States is a wasted. It is a data for laptop to get online wireless. As Raymond said, it is 1900 vs 2100. So your 3G phones from Asia will not work in US 3G at all.

Sad. Just like we have the stupid 850mhz. Glad I am not with Cingular.

I wonder what are Cingular doing.

While even Japs go with the Unversial standard and 2100, they go with 1900.

It seems that we are going to have Quad-band-Dual-mode-Dual-band machines in the furture

That is EGSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900 / WCDMA 1900 / 2100 !
