Designed with simplicity in mind, iMovie makes importing a breeze. All you have to do is:
1. Connect your DV, DV Widescreen, or HDV video camcorder to your Mac using a FireWire cable.
2. Turn on your camera, set it to VTR mode, and open iMovie.
3. Click Create a New iMovie Project in the dialog that automatically appears, give it a name, and click Create.
