In fact, the PowerEdge R200 or R300 may be good enough already too.
Since they now use Core 2 Duos or Core 2 Duo based Xeons, they are way better in terms of heat and noise than the old system using Netbrust based Xeon.
And I agree that XServe would be the cool choice

(I would want one in my home to replace my current setup of using a old Windows Notebook computer together with a couple of External Hard Drives)
But it cost NT$118900 without any addons; exceeding budget here.
