Panasonic Announces Development of Its First UMTS Mobile Phone
- Prototype of the Z800 on Exhibit at PT/EXPO COMM CHINA 2004

The Z800's 1.3 Megapixel CCD outer camera is equipped with an advanced auto-focusing function, a Panasonic's proprietary AV technology, allowing users to shoot finer still pictures and share them with friends and family members via multimedia messaging (MMS). Still and moving images shot from one of the Z800's two cameras can then be displayed on either the inner 2-inch, 65,000 color Thin Film Transistor (TFT) LCD display screen or the outer 56,000 color Supertwisted Nematic (STN) LCD sub-display screen.
