plz help me, my notebook is not working........

my samsung x10 (plz don't flame) .......well, i left it on last night (listen to radio).
and this morning, the scree was black with some writing on.
ok, then i reseted the notebook and safter the "samsung" logo , the screen stays black..........

plz help me, im new to computer and i don't know what to do.....
i cant take it back to samsung because im from hong kong but i am studing in UK.......

Following your descriptions, I think nobody can help you via this post.
You can see the Samsung logo, that means BIOS post can go normally.
What's "reset" on Notebook? Is it "power off"?
Do you see any message after Samsung logo?
If you need to take NB go to the other countries, please don't buy the NB without international warranty.

yes sorry the "reset is suppose to mean i urned the power off.
after the samsung logo, the screen just stays black(the power is still on).

i think i can take it to samsung in UK, but the only problem is that my window is in chinese......

Try booting from floppy or cd-rom, if you can do that, then perhaps it's problem with your hard drive.

if you don't have a boot disk. try to get the files from this site and make it.
