UltraLite Versa is probably the first Notebook PC that has a reversable / detachable LCD screen, hence the name "Versa".

Besides, it also got swappable hard drive and floppy drive. I am not sure that's a first, but surely it was one of the first few models that allow users to do so.

I'll upload some pictures after lunch. Stay tuned.

所以滿難搞混的，不過我也聽他用過laptop當然還有notebook

我想是因時因地而異吧!!
有的地方習慣用laptop,有的喜歡用notebook.
不過最近我比較常聽人家說laptop.
習慣用法啦!!!!!

I think "notebook" is more of an official name for it, and "laptop", which I think is a slang, is more commonly used in everyday life (in US).

Just talk to couple of people in the office and nobody call it "notebook"....

They all call it "Laptop". (all native English speakers).

其實NOTEBOOK或LAPTOP本來就沒有什麼必然的對錯之分. LAPTOP其實只是膝上之意. 字意本身並不見得必然是專用的電腦用語. LAPTOP之後如果不加PC, 也可以有別的意思. LAPTOP DANCE. 可就不是和筆電有關的舞. 在某些場合, 你要LAPTOP也可能會得到意想不到的別的東西唷......

語言本就是這樣子的東西. 都要看場合及前後文. 所以也沒有什麼爭議的必要. 只是因為樓主用了一個知識問答的型式. 而將Laptop作為"正解". 問大家有沒有猜對. 所以有些朋友可能覺得這個正解他們不滿意.

畢竟若然沒有對錯, 只供參考, 何來正解呢?

Oh well... under the "Normal" circumstance, if you just say "laptop" in the office, people will understand that you are straightly talking about the "laptop computer"...

With all due respect, I certainly did not say that "SOME" occasion means inside an office. I did not even say it is under A NOMRAL circumstance. No dictionary will be needed to tell me what a laptop means.

It is only a joke. Just take it easy.
