My questions is, as long as there are some people, including me, using computers in only very simple or basic functions, is it necessary for us to chose the later operation systems? Or, can we obviously experience the adventages that come from the later operation systems? For one who uses computer in very limited ways, is there any thing that the older os can not but the later can do?
I am not eager for arguing. I just want to realize the pluses, minuses of these operation systems. I will be thankful if you can do me the favor.

在搜尋方面，就是像Mac的那種，隨打隨找，速度快很多。
介面的話，增加了不少說明文字。

I am not intending in arguing also.
However, even for those very basic computing, I would recommend W2K.
My grandparents did what you did also only. But they feel very happy after I upgraded their computers from W98 to W2K. They told me that it never suddenly freeze up again (as often). And, when they click something wrong online, nothing very serious will happen given the safety of W2K (User Account for their daily use).
Of course, if you think W98 is enough for you, that’s perfectly ok.
P.S. I know Chinese, only is that the computer I am using now can’t type Chinese.

至於大大所說的安全程式...我全部把他關掉.連防火牆也關掉.資訊安全中心幾乎一片紅..
早晚作業系統都會變成VISTA..習慣只是時間的問題罷了吧
