I would like to know if I buy 6230 in Australia, can I install any software to make it able to write chinese? Thanks.
nah~ I'm afraid that is not possbile.

That's why I bough my 6230 in Taiwan, and it's cheaper too.

If you buy it straight in OZ, it prob cost you $750+

I bought my 6230 from NOVA at Taipei (22nd May), paid via Telstra VISA card which cost me 5% more than quoted "Cash Price", I end up paying NT$14949

And it shows on my VISA Statement AUD $656.22

Still cheaper than OZ (at that time)

Your only option to make OZ Version 6230 able to enter chinese text, is to flash the phone with Taiwan version 6230 ROM, but I don't think NOKIA Service Center in Australia will do that, even if you pay them to do it.

Thanks.
One more question about chinise input, how many chinese input methods 6230(TW version) have? 注音is one, how about 拼音?
There are 2 model of Nokia 6230.
But no difference of look, ,menu, and function.
The only one difference is the "Band"
All of them are Tri-Band cell phone.
One is GSM 900/1800/1900, it's Asian model;
one is GSM 850/1800/1900, it's U.S. model.
I think the Nokia 6230 you purchased is U.S. model.
That's why there is no Chinese languege menu.
