How to fix T39 No Network Bug
『譯』如何修理T39 "沒有網路" 的缺陷

One of a well known bug of T39 is "No Network"!
『譯』T39 最多為人知的缺陷就是"沒有網路"!
Before we try to fix it, lets find out why it happens.
『譯』在我們設法修好它之前, 首先找出是什麼原因導致出現這種缺陷。
Ask yourself, what is the most frequent key you'll press in your T39? I think the answer must be the "Yes" key. Specially you have activated the voice-dial function.
『譯』問問自己, 在用T39時最常按的是那一個鍵? 我認為答案必定是"Yes" 鍵。特別是在使用聲控撥號的時候。
One of the poor-design of T39 is, the PA IC (to control the network) is just behind the "Yes" key, so when you press the "Yes" key too hard, the PA IC will disconnected from the motherboard! In some case, it will be cracked! If it is cracked, the only way is to replace this PA IC. But I think it is not easy to do it at home, so you better send it to some phone shop for repair.
『譯』T39 的設計上最差劣的就是把 PA IC (控制網路的晶片) 放置在"Yes"鍵的背面，因此若您曾用力地按 "Yes"鍵 , PA IC 和主機板的接觸便會分離 ! 在某些例子中, 甚至令它破裂! 如果它是破裂了的話, 唯一的方法就是將這PA IC 更換。但我想不容易在家做得到, 因此您最好送找家電話商店代為修理。
How to fix, steps-by-steps:
『譯』按步就班的修理方法
1) Pull the antenna out as show. Don't worry, you won't break it, just pull it out with some force!
『譯』1) 如圖所示拔出天線, 不用擔心會把它弄壞，用點力拔吧!
2) Open the case with an opening toys (plastic). You can find these opening tools in phone shops
『譯』2) 用開機殼的工具(塑料的那種)撬開機殼，這種工具您可以在電話商店找到。
3) Open the housing carefully. Beware that there is a wire (the mic) connected between the front-housing and the motherboard. Take it off carefully!
『譯』3) 撬開機殼時要小心，留意有一條電線(接話筒的)連接在前部機殼和主機板之間，要小心地把它拔離!
4) Take-off the motherboard with a T6 screw driver. There are 7 screws as shown (red-crosses) in the picture.
『譯』4) 用T6型螺絲刀把主機板拆開，如圖所見一共有七粒螺絲(紅色交叉位)。
5) Take the motherboard out from the back-housing.
『譯』5) 把主機板從機殼取出。
Find this PA IC (red circled in above picture). This is right behind the "Yes" key. In some newer model, this IC is protect by some epoxy glue, if your T39's ICs are glued, sorry to tell you that the chance to fix is very much lowered!
『譯』找出這 PA IC (圖中紅圈部份)，那就在"Yes"鍵的背面。有些較新的型號會用上強力膠把它黏著，以作加強的保護，如你的T39的 PA IC 是有強力膠黏著的話，那麼能修好的機會就不大了。
Steps:
『譯』步驟
a. Take of the keypad layer before you do hot-treatment. Because high temperature will melt the plastic pad.
『譯』a. 做熱處理前請把接鍵橡膠層拿出，因高溫會溶掉接鍵橡膠。
b. Check the PA IC is protected by glue (eproxy) or not. See picture below, you will see example of glued ICs. If it is glued, your chance to fix it is lower, so just skip to Step b. If it is not glued, add a small drop of flux to the edge of the PA IC (the gap between the PA IC and the motherboard). If you have no idea what is a flux, see picture below.
『譯』b. 檢查 PA IC 是否有強力膠(eproxy)作保護。請參考以下圖片, 您可以看到其他被膠合了的晶片例子。如果它被膠合了，那麼您能把它修好的機會很底低。如果它沒有被膠合, 請在PA IC 的邊緣(PA IC 和主機板之間的隙)塗上一小點焊錫膏。如果您不知道甚麼是焊錫膏, 請參下面的圖片。
c. Use hot-air gun with 250 degree (temperature) to blow this IC for 1-2 minutes. If you don't have hot-air gun at home, you may TRY (I do really mean try and no guarantee :P) to use a hairdryer instead. Just blow this IC with your hairdryer for 5-10 minutes. You have to make sure it is close enough and hot enough. Also, your target is this PA IC only and not the others, so do it carefully.
『譯』c. 用熱風槍以 250 度(溫度) 吹向這晶片 1-2 分鐘。如果您家中沒有熱風槍, 您可以嘗試改用吹髮用的熱風筒吹5-10 分鐘(改用風筒並不一定可成功，SE大夫按：我也是用吹髮風筒的，是1500w那種)。您必須確定很接近地吹向這晶片的表使其有足夠的受熱，並且只吹向這晶片, 請小心留意。
d. After the hot-air treatment, leave it to cool down for 15-20 minutes.
『譯』d. 經過這樣的熱處理後, 讓冷卻 15-20 分鐘。
e. Use a small piece of tissue (yes, toilet tissue) or spongy and place it as shown in above picture. This is to provide addition support to the PA IC and prevent it to disconnected from the motherboard when you press the "Yes" key again!
『譯』e. 用一小片紙巾(沒錯，就是衛生紙) 或海綿放置在如圖片所示的地方上。當您按"Yes"鍵時，這將會對PA IC提供更有力的承托以防止它再跟主機板分離。
Now, your T39 shall work again ........... if you are lucky enough :P
