前幾天 N8 才傳出需要進行微調，因此上市時間由 9 月底延後到 10 月。無獨有偶，SE 官方 Blog 也正式宣佈，XPERIA 系列的 Android 2.1 升級將延遲到 10 月底。其中有個重要訊息是此次升級並非在全球範圍內同步進行，而是根據不同國家、語言和電信商分批進行，而台灣使用的中文版系統自然不會和英語系同步，而既然國外都要到 10 月底了，那樂觀估計，台灣升級會在 11 月以後、甚至到了 12 月也不意外了。
不過為了表示誠意，SE 還是公佈了系統升級後手機的具體功能改進：

這其實昨天在 X8 發表會現場聽到的差不多，中文系統已經在測試中，但因為 X10 強調的是自有 UI，在統整上會遇到更大的麻煩，所以台灣 X10 家族要何時升級 2.1 仍是努力中階段。
