actually you could just flash your w800c to w800i with taiwan language pack. you did not really have to sell it and try to get a w800i. they are the same with different region language pack. however, if you want to have the special characters on the keypad which you can use them for inputting taiwan chinese, that is different stories thou.
Superfire: it comes out to be around $560USD out the door. I'm still leaning toward buying it off Mobile01 because it's only $20 more than buying from my local SonySytle, and I get the language pack/keypad I wanted.
I would've flashed the China W800c with Taiwanese language pack but no one from HoFo answered my inquiry directly and both TMS and Davinci didn't reply my email at all.
vrchern: from my past experience, usually the US version of any phone won't display Chinese characters properly. They will show up either as scrambled English letters or just black blocks.
Superfire: my HoFo sn is the o'BlueTouring as well. I'm in LA area and used to attend UCI so I kind of know OC area as well.
superfire: Where can I get the Traditional Chinese language pack for w800? I'm thinking buying it from amazon.com, it's much cheaper, free shipping and no tax. I don't care about the keyboard since I'll stay in the US for more than 3 years from now. Just need to be able to read Chinese SMS when I visit Taiwan. Thanks!
o'BlueTouring: Thanks for your information, refreshing the firmware maybe the only choice.
