這部份的實測有不少網友分享過了, 不過因為有網友提到 Vigor 2920 IPSEC VPN throughput 效能過低的問題, 所以還是自己做些筆記.
利申: 不是專業測試, 所以用的方法都很普通.
手上沒有 Vigor 2920 了, 只能以 Vigor 2925 來實際測試.
測試環境
一般較正規的測試是以兩設備 WAN 對接, 然後在兩端用 iperf 來做是做好的做法, 但這裡沒有那種環境了, 只有二台 Vigor 2925, 都是中華電信的 100M/40M PPPoE 線路, 已經都用在 production 環境中了, 測試的當下可能有其他 client 在使用網路, 不過這部份已經挑其他 user 較少使用的時段了. 更能反應真實的狀況.
SiteA: Vigor 2925 (中華 100M/40M), 簡稱 RA, 且在 Site-A 有一台 PC-A. 做為測試之用.
SiteB: Vigor 2925 (中華 100M/40M), 簡稱 RB, 且在 Site-B 有一台 NAS, 做為測試下載之用.
Test1:
首先確認 Site A & Site B 下載及上傳的頻寬. 由於人在 Site A, 在 Site B 沒有電腦, 所以測的方法很克難.
Site A: 以 speedtest 測, 大約有 97MBbps/28Mbps (upload 應該近 40Mbps, 應是有其他 client 在使用網路)
Site B: 由於 Site B 沒有 PC, 所以是從 Site A 建 PPTP VPN, 然後繞到 Site B 去做 Speedtest, 下載如預期達到 40Mbps(表示 Site-B upload 速度能到達滿速), 但 upload 只有 30Mbps, 沒有達到理想的 40Mbps, 這和前面呼應, 可能是 Site-A upload 有其他 client 影響.
Test2: PPTP VPN Tunnel
Site A & Site B 建立 PPTP VPN, 然後從 Site A route 從 Site B 出去, 做實測. 以 PC-A 對 NAS 做大檔下載, 大約有 3.5MB/s, 就約 28Mbps.
Test3: SSL VPN Tunnel
SSL VPN 是用 vigor route 自家的協定, 大約有 1.7MB/s, 13.6Mbps.
Test4: IPSEC VPN Tunnel (3DES-SHA1 & AES-SHA1)
也是從 site-A PC-A 對 Site-B NAS 做下載大檔測試. 大約有 4.7MB/s, 37.6Mbps
至於 AES-SHA1 加密模式, 出來的結果和 3DES-SHA1 差不多.
